We all know that a smoothie is a great breakfast option, because it is easy and quick to make.

It can also be great option as snack throughout the day. But because you are putting only the ingredients you want you can get just the right amount of nutrient you need

1.“The Classic” Matcha Smoothie

This is simple smoothie recipe is great in the morning and is made with just Matcha and Yoghurt

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp honey or sugar
  • 1/2 cup ice cubesMatcha Smoothie
  • 1 tsp Matcha Powder

Instructions:

  • Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth
  • Makes one serving

This is a great option for all the fitness enthusiasts as it incorporates protein powder which is obviously necessary for muscle formation. The Matcha powder is great source of antioxidants which really helps with recovery after exercise

Ingredients:

  • Protein powder of your choice
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1-2 tsp coconut oil or ghee
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • 1-2 tsp ingredient grade matcha

Instructions:

  • Slice the banana into ½ inch pieces

  • 2 tbsp freshly ground Gingermatcha smoothie 2
  • ½ lime – squeezed
  • 1tbsp Honey

Instructions:

  • Blend all ingredients until smooth
  • Add Honey to desired sweetness

4. The “Fat Burner” Matcha Smoothie

This smoothie uses chia seeds, youghurt and skim milks which keeps the calories low but keeps you fuller for longer. A great option for all the health-conscious eaters as it helps stabilise blood glucose levels

Ingredients:

  • 1tsp Matcha Powder
  • ½ cup Skim Milk
  • ½ cup fat-free yoghurtMatcha Smoothie
  • 1tsp Chia seeds
  • ½ cup ice

Instructions:

  • Soak the Chia seeds in water for 20 minutes. Use ounces of water. The longer you can soak the seeds, the better. The softer the seeds are the easier it will be to blend them.
  • Combine all the ingredients, including the chia seeds in the blender.
  • Blend until smooth
  • Makes 2 servings.

5. The “Craving –Satisfying Chocolate” Matcha Smoothie

This is a great smoothie for those times that you have a chocolate craving but you do not want to throw your diet off. There is an added benefit to this drinking this smoothie. Because it uses cocoa and matcha powder, it will give you double dose of antioxidants. This is why it is such a great post-workout drink.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 frozen banana

Tips for better Matcha Smoothie blending:

  • You should always try to blend for at least 5 minutes
  • Smoothies are best drunk immediately after making them. If you are too busy, you can always make the smoothie the night before and store it in the frisge in an air tight container. Just make sure you drink within 24 hours.
