How to be anorexic for Children
Non-pathological causes of obesity in children " simple obesity".
Causes of obesity in children
N.B. Children are subject to the same genetic and environmental causes as
adults. See Non-pathological causes of obesity in homepage contents. The
same for the pathological causes of obesity, They are essentially
pathological causes in children especially "the genetic causes".
But :
3 Life events Special to
Children may lead to childhood obesity.
A. Prenatal Period :
1- High birth weight : Is associated with a high risk of childhood obesity.
Also infants of diabetic mothers, this may be a special "causes obesity
children". The explanation of this is that a physiological programming in
the hypothalamic set may point for a special overweight model due to the
effect of the above average intrauterine "hyper-nutrition".
2- Adiposity Development :
During the 1st 5 years of life, the "cellularity" of the adipose tissue
may be defined. The physiological programming of the hypothalamic set for
the required weight may be completed. Many researches show that the best
treatment of obesity starts here, during the 1st 5 years of life, and as
early as possible. A good mother and a good pediatrician follow up very
carefully the weight charts of their newly born infant. They should never
allow the baby to be overweight. The old very (incorrect) idea that too much
food makes the baby grow faster and healthier. This wrong idea should be
corrected. We understand very well the strong mother's instinct of feeling
happiness with pushing food inside the mouth of her baby. If we are
discussing now "How to become anorexic for children and the causes of obesity
in children", we may say now that if ever we
should mention one cause of obesity and one way to be anorexic, it is this cause which will not be only
the most important cause of obesity in children, but also will be the most
important cause of obesity in adults and also in the all human society as a whole. Of course speaking about
"simple obesity", not the pathological one.
3- Environmental Change :
If we want our children to stay or to become anorexic, we should take care
of those environmental change which led to the increased
obesity in children :
1- TV watching : One study showed that 4 hours of watching the TV daily
increased the risk of overweight 8 times !!!
2- Private Cars : Children, before, were going to schools walking.
3- Schools : There is a decrease in the formal physical activity in the
school.
4- Increased consumption of Sugars : high-sugar snacks, high-fat snacks,
home-prepared food, increased sugary drinks, The market influence on the
children, etc.
